Welcome to Galmpton Touring Park
…in the heart of the English Riviera
Galmpton Touring Park is an award winning family park set in a stunning location overlooking the River Dart in South Devon. The park caters for a mix of 122 touring caravans, tents and motorhomes and we also have 2 holiday lets. One 3 bedroomed holiday let called ‘The Sail Loft’, which sleeps 6 & a smaller holiday chalet, called ‘The Upper Deck’, which sleeps 3. These are a great option for relatives who do not wish to camp!
Galmpton Touring Park is owned by Wilson Leisure, a family run business with Devonshire roots and over 30 years experience in touring, static holiday caravan and residential mobile home parks. Since owning Galmpton Touring Park we have made many noticeable improvements on the park, and we aim to continue improvements where required, to make your stay even more enjoyable.
Having a south and westerly aspect, we benefit from the sun throughout the day and our 10 acres or so of gently sloping Devonshire countryside enjoy spectacular views of the River Dart and surrounding countryside.
Galmpton offers a quiet, convenient base from which families and couples alike can visit Torbay and the South Hams’ many attractions, explore the beautiful South Hams or just sit back, relax and enjoy the outstanding view with a barbeque and a nice glass of local Sharpham wine!
Situated on the edge of Galmpton village, the park is only a short walk from the local shops which include a Post Office / general store, an excellent butcher and a country pub with fine ales. Or you can take a five minute ferry trip for great home made food, local wines and ales at the Ferry Boat Inn, Dittisham. The park is excellently situated for many varied public transport routes, which means you never really need to take a vehicle with you unless you wish to. The local bus route & steam train station are just a short walk from the park, and there are also ferry routes from Greenway Quay, just over a mile’s walk from the park. Dartmouth, Brixham, Torquay, Paignton, Totnes and Dittisham are all very easily accessible.
We look forward to welcoming you to Galmpton Touring Park in 2017!
P.S. We are now open between 31st March – 29th October AND take dogs at all times during the season! Maximum of 2 per pitch, breeds at our discretion.
